Everyone is blogging about this, following their favourite blogs/topics on the internet on this, some are even creating their own SMS groups for their blogs and other things. what is Google SMS Channels.

This is a new product from Google, still in Google Lab, it allows you subscribe to online contents (blogs, news alerts, weather updates, stocks, horoscopes, cricket scores, etc) as updates through SMS, for free… yes!! FREE. Some popular blogs have already created their own groups, you can subscribe to them. An account has to be created first, and the mobile number needs to be validated. Once that is done, subscribing to sms groups or creating groups is easy. Yes, with Google SMS Channels it is also possible to create SMS groups for your friends, blog readers, etc. So keeping in touch with family and friends via SMS just got easier. 

At the time of publishing this post, this SMS channel works only with Indian numbers.
