Simplest way to download images from Orkut albums.

OrkutRemember those good old days when we could just right-click and download photos from Orkut albums. Well Orkut has disabled right clicking on photos other than those images in your own albums. There are numerous Orkut profiles with fake picture copied from genuine users. So, this is indeed a very good move by Orkut to control privacy of its users.

But what if someone wants to download a pic uploaded by a friend/family.

I’ll show you an easy way to do so, but PLEASE use this method only if you know the person from whose album you want to download the images, and when he/she won’t mind you doing so.

Here’s how.

Open the photo/image that you want to download. Click on it, hold down the left mouse key and drag it to the toolbar, release the mouse key, this should open a new tab with only the image. Now Right Click on the image, and select Save As, browse to the path where you want the image saved and click save.

Easy right. Told ya!!

This method worked fine for me and think it’s quite easy. Just in case it didn’t work for you, you can try this other method.

Do you know any other method to download image from Orkut albums, would appreciate a comment.

actually you don't need to take it to a new tab, just drag it to your desktop… although it won't hav a file extension. u can just add “.jpg” how hard is tht… those using mac os don't need to add anything it will be save in the file format automatically…

@atangba @shoban

That makes it even easier.. Don't see the point why Orkut banned right click!!

There is a point.. Sites like orkut should protect the privacy of their users.. at the same time they cant be 100% secure in blovking images.. So something is better than nothing ;-)
