I joined twitter around 8 months back, loved the experience so far because of all the people I follow and my followers. A big thanks to all my followers. These people are must-follows :-) , follow them all!!

I have also included the bots too as I was too lazy to remove them.

If you follow me and your DP is not listed above, let me know and I’ll add it.

And I try to follow back all my followers, except the bots. If you aren’t a bot, tweet more than 5 tweet a day on avg and follow me but I didn’t follow you back, drop me a comment with your twitter handle or an @reply and I’ll follow you back.

If you don’t follow me already, you can do so at @devakishor.

Want to thank your twitter followers by creating a mosaic of your followers or friends, head over to Twitter  Mosaic.

I used to sync myTwitter and Facebookupdates using the Twitter application for Facebook. That meant updating the Facebook status more than 50-100 times a day(or even more!). Problem was, very few of my Facebook friends know what Twitter is and they found the frequent updates irritating. Some even labeled me a spammer. Well I do spam at times with my blog post notifications, but thats another story :D .

So I uninstalled the Twitter application. After that my Facebook status updates became less and less frequent, sometime the status remained for days. This was a long time ago.

And today I thought of asking what other tweeps do, do they sync the updates, do they face the same dilema I’m in?

So I tweeted “How many of you sync Twitter updates with Facebook status update.. Non-twitter friends complain??

While some said their friends don’t mind, there were others like me, with irritated friends. For those of you who are in a dilema, worry not. There’s another application which lets you update your Facebook status with only selected tweets.

selectivestatusUsing the Selective Twitter Status application, now you can update your Facebook status with only those tweets that that you choose. So no more confusing, spamming and jargons for your Twilliterate friends.

All you got to do is add the application to your Facebook profile, give them your Twitter handle(password not required). And you are all set to rock and roll.

Next time you want to update your Facebook status with a particular Tweet, just add “#fb” at the end of your tweet, thats it. This pics will give you a better idea.

1) Post a tweet with “#fb” at the end.

2) Almost instantly, your Facebook status is updated.

facebooksuccessSo, if you are on an active twitterer and wants to update your Facebook status without spamming your friends, this is the way to go.

I am happy I found this application, are you.

Btw you are more than welcome to add me as a friend on Facebook or follow Twitter.

Twe2  is a service which sends free SMS alerts for every twitter replies and DMs you get. It was mainly started for the Europe market, but now it’s available for a lot more countries. You can log in to Twe2 using your twitter ID and password. The first time you log in, you will need to tell them from which country you are and your mobile number. A code will be sent to your number for confirmation. Once the confirmation is done, you will start receiving you @replies and DMs as free SMS alerts.

Twe2 can also send you SMS alert every time somebody mentions your twitter handle as they use twitter search functionality. Additionally you can choose to receive SMS alerts for a particular search term(s) that you want to track on twitter.

Twe2exampleThe notifications may be somewhat delayed, but I’m not complaining as long as I get free notifications.

You can also see from this SMS alert I received for one of my @reply, that an advertisement is sent along with the notification. Above that, the reply notification doesn’t show the complete reply.

This is probably because they are trying to fit in the notification and an advert within 160 chars(1 SMS).

But I agree with Twe2 and definitely consider the advert a small price…

To keep Twe2 free, we append an advert from the network onto each SMS from the advertising network which in our mind is a small price to pay for such a cool service.

So if you are on twitter, do give this app a try.

Leave a comment and let me know if you like it or not.
